Liverpool in talks with a new goalkeeper
Kamil Grabara, 16, is expected to sign for the club and become part of Neil Critchley's under-18s squad, rather than provide competition for current No.1 Simon Mignolet
Young Polish goalkeeper Kamil Grabara was at Melwood on Wednesday to discuss a move to Liverpool’s Kirkby Academy.
The 16-year-old, who celebrates his
birthday this week, met key figures at the club at the training complex
and is expected to have a medical soon and become part of Neil
Critchley's Under-18s squad.
The talented teenager, who is on the
books of Poland top-flight side Ruch Chorzow, is also reported to have
courted interest from both Manchester City and Manchester United.
He has already made his U17 international debut.

Ruch president Dariusz Smagorowicz said: “Grabara has been with us for 12 years.
“A few months ago we signed a contract with him to keep him until 2018, and now Liverpool want to have him.”
The Merseysiders have already announced
the signing of 19-year-old Marko Grujic on a five-year deal and Grabara
looks set to be the next starlet to join the Anfield outfit.
